Emocute Studio Pro — on screen
Place chords by scale degree, audition alternatives, fix notes in the piano roll, and export MIDI, an accompaniment MP3, and a Suno prompt. Runs without AI.
Emocute Studio Pro puts the Emocute Studio chord engine on screen. Click in chords by scale degree, audition reharmonization ideas in context, fix individual notes and timing in the piano roll, then export MIDI, an accompaniment MP3, and a Suno prompt. You can also load a MIDI file of your own and edit it on the same screen. The engine is included, so Pro runs on its own.
The main Studio sets a song's direction through conversation with Claude Code or Codex. For details like lowering one inner note by a semitone, Pro lets you make the change yourself, with no back-and-forth. AI is optional. Editing and export work without it.

Audition ideas in context, adjust an inner voice or its timing, check the voice leading, then save and export MIDI, an accompaniment MP3, and a Suno prompt. You can do it all from the same song screen.
Build
Build with scale degreesAdd chords using degrees such as Imaj7 and VIm7. Click to change the chord quality across three tiers, from basic tones to additions and alterations, as well as its length and rhythm. Change the key and the notes follow. Slash chords such as C/E can be chosen from their own column.
Start with a templateChoose from nine templates: Bossa Nova, City Pop, Dark Minor, Future Bass, Gospel R&B, Jazz Ballad, Lo-fi Hip Hop, Neo Soul, and Pop. Each comes with a key, BPM, progression, and Style ready to edit.
ReharmonizationSelect a chord to see three kinds of suggestions based on the surrounding progression: substitute it, lead into the next chord, or insert a chord before it. Hover over a suggestion to hear it alongside the neighboring chords before choosing.
Progression design (optional)Give Claude Code or Codex a direction such as "let the chorus turn bittersweet for a moment," and it fills in the progression, lyrics, and Style. If neither AI tool is installed, start with a sample progression and build it yourself.
Piano rollSee the notes in each chord. Drag a note to move it, drag its right edge to change its length, double-click to delete it, or option-drag to duplicate it. Pitch classes have distinct colors, and roots are outlined in white. Chord names rewrite as you move notes, even mid-drag.
Load your own MIDIDrop a .mid or .midi file onto the reference panel (where you add reference audio), or click to choose one. Its notes land in the piano roll, a chord is matched to each bar, and the time signature, tempo, and key fill in. Edit as usual and export with the usual MIDI and MP3 export. For a multi-track file, tick each track after loading to layer it or leave it out (drum tracks start unticked).
Program drumsThe Drums tab under the piano roll gives you eight rows: kick, snare, clap, rim, closed hat, open hat, tom, and crash. Click a cell to place a hit, drag to place a run, and right-click to erase; velocity can be set per cell. "Place a pattern" fills the song with 8-beat, four-on-the-floor, boom bap, trap, 2-step, breakbeat, or half-time, and "Repeat bar 1" extends a bar you programmed to the end of the song. Grid resolution is 1/8, 1/16, 1/32, or 1/16 triplets. Drums play together with the piano, and go into saved and exported MIDI on the drum channel (ch10). When you load a MIDI file of your own, its drum track is placed in this tab so you can edit it.
Melody laneThe Melody tab under the piano roll lets you write the melody on its own lane, apart from the chords. Click to add notes, drag to lengthen, box-select and move them, and change velocity (arrow keys, ⌘C / ⌘V, D to duplicate, ⌘Z). When Audio to MIDI or a MIDI import mixes the melody into the chords, select those notes in the piano roll and use "Roll selection → melody" to split them out. With a multi-track MIDI, the vocal track goes to the melody lane from the start. The melody is included in playback and in MIDI/MP3 export, and exported MIDI puts it on a separate track from the chords.
MicrotonesUnder Tuning in Settings, choose 12-TET, 24-TET (quarter tones), 19-TET, 31-TET, just intonation (based on the song key's tonic) or Scala (load a .scl file), and change the reference A. You can also detune individual notes in cents (100 cents = a semitone). When sending to your DAW and in exported MIDI, detuned notes carry pitch bend.
Tools, voicing, and velocityUse the pointer, split, eraser, pencil, mute, and audition tools, plus Quantize and Snap. Choose three to seven voices and one of ten playing styles, including sustained notes, eighth notes, and arpeggios. Draw velocities in the lane below the piano roll.
Reference audio analysisDrop in audio up to 40 MB to estimate its key, BPM, genre, and style. Audio to MIDI transcribes notes into the piano roll and estimates a progression from each bar. Install basic-pitch with the Install parts button to use it.
Bass laneWrite the bass on its own lane with the "Bass" tab under the piano roll. "Pattern…" fills it from the current progression with six patterns, including root whole notes, eighths, octaves and walking. Exported MIDI puts the bass on its own track, and where the bass plays, the lowest chord note moves up so the low end stays clear.
Stack and track view"Stack" layers chords, melody, bass and drums on one piano roll so you can see and edit them together. "Track" lines up each track's notes, and the lower panel can expand to fill the window.
Song sectionsUse the section band above the piano roll to build a song from an intro, verses, a chorus and so on. Change each section's length, order, and starting key and BPM, and "Duplicate" copies its chords, melody, bass and drums together. Templates (Pop, Ballad, HipHop, EDM, Loop) lay out the whole song, and exported MIDI gets a marker at each section.
Copy a song by earDrop an MP3 or WAV on "♫ Copy a song by ear" in the Reference panel. It splits the song into instruments, then fills in the chords bar by bar, key, BPM, time signature, melody, bass and drums, with a section layout in 8-bar blocks. The part it needs installs with one button the first time (about 2.5 GB).
Check
Relations viewInspect chord functions (T, S, D), voice movement, and shared notes. Warnings flag parallel fifths, parallel octaves, and voice crossings. The view updates from the notes you edit by hand.
AuditionHear notes and chords as you edit them, or hover over a suggestion to audition it. Nothing plays automatically. The transport includes a playhead, looping, one-bar jumps, and a metronome.
Quality checkBefore creating a Suno prompt, Pro checks its length and inputs. Depending on the issue, it shows a warning or stops prompt generation.
Export
Accompaniment exportExport MIDI and a piano accompaniment MP3 using the pitch, timing, duration, velocity, and mute state of your edited notes. For MP3, Pro uses Pianoteq if available, then FluidSynth, then its built-in piano. No additional sound source is required. You can also save MIDI on its own. Drums you programmed are included in the MIDI on channel 10.
Suno promptEnter Style, Exclude, and lyrics, then create a prompt with one click. Pro takes the bar count from the progression on screen. Click tags from the bundled vocabulary to add them to Style.
Instruct ClaudeAsk for a change such as "make it more wistful" or "put the chorus in English." Pro rewrites only the requested fields among title, Lyrics, Style, and Exclude, and tells you what changed.
You can export a progression as a reference accompaniment for Suno audio input. The result depends on Suno and your settings, so an exact reproduction of the progression is not guaranteed.
Not using Suno?
The first time you open Pro, it asks whether you use Suno. Choose No to hide the lyrics, Style, and Suno prompt fields. Build, Check, and Export stay in view, with MIDI and accompaniment MP3 exports ready for your DAW. To show the Suno fields again, choose View > Show Suno fields.
Getting started

- 2OpenDouble-click Start Pro in the folder. On first launch, it installs the components it needs. This takes a few minutes, requires an internet connection, and downloads about 550 MB.
Your operating system may block launch files from a downloaded ZIP the first time you open them. The included README explains how to allow them.

Talk to Claude Code or Codex to build progressions, MIDI, accompaniment MP3s, lyrics, and Suno prompts.
Launch Claude Code or Codex (ChatGPT) and say "melancholic lofi" or "dark verse that opens up at the chorus." The AI reads the bundled harmony dictionary, Suno vocabulary, and production workflows, then assembles chord progressions, MIDI, an accompaniment MP3, lyrics, and a Suno-ready prompt. It is a production environment that ships the Python source and production docs as-is, not a standalone app.
Unzip, launch, and say "set it up" — the AI installs the required parts in order and you can start producing right away. The bundle includes a 336-entry harmony dictionary and 566 Suno vocabulary words.

LyricsBuilds lyric drafts from an emotional design and automatically checks for AI-sounding phrasing, worn-out vocabulary, overused thinking verbs, and over-explanation. A separate critic AI can score the lyrics on six axes, including hook strength, AI flavor, habits, structure, and emotional arc, and point out weak lines for a revise-and-review loop.
Suno promptsOutputs Style, Exclude, lyrics, and progression as four blocks in an HTML file with copy buttons. 566 Suno vocabulary words, Exclude contradiction checks, and vocal-image design help. The included progression guide covers handing a chord progression to Suno as an accompaniment MP3.
Audio analysisExtracts an estimated key, BPM, and frequency balance from your own MP3 and suggests Suno wording. Audio returned by Suno can be split into vocals, drums, bass, and other, with a quality report and recommended master settings.

Where Suno Alone Falls Short
Suno struggles with mid-song modulations and odd meters when driven by text alone. Emocute Studio assumes you'll design MIDI and upload it to Suno, so you can design what text prompts can't express in MIDI and hand it to Suno (output still depends on Suno's behavior).
Modulation designDiatonic, relative / parallel key, half-step up, pivot-chord routes — the design engine proposes modulation paths. Modulate as many times as you want in a single track.
Odd-meter support5/4, 7/4, 7/8, mixed meters. Lock structure at the MIDI level for meters Suno struggles to grasp from text alone.

Pro: Python 3.10+, Mac / Windows · Main: Claude Code or Codex
Emocute Studio Pro
- The main Studio, Suno, and a DAW are not required
- Python 3.10 or later. Pro installs its required components on first launch, about 550 MB
- Mac: macOS 12 or later. Pro builds an app on first launch and opens in its own window. This requires Command Line Tools. Otherwise, it opens in your browser
- Windows: opens in your browser. There is no Windows app
- Automated tests cover first-time setup through export on Windows, Intel Mac, and Apple Silicon, and all pass
- Browser: tested with Chromium-based browsers, including Chrome and Edge
- AI features such as progression design and Instruct Claude require Claude Code or Codex installed and signed in, with usage available. They are optional, and third-party fees are not included
- Audio to MIDI requires a separate basic-pitch installation through the Install parts button. It is optional
- Pianoteq and FluidSynth are optional. The built-in piano can export MP3 without either one
Emocute Studio
- Claude Code (Anthropic's official CLI) or Codex (OpenAI's official CLI, used with a paid ChatGPT plan; tested on Plus). Suno Pro or Premier plan recommended (for the Upload Audio feature). After launch, say "set it up" and the AI installs Python 3.10+, the required libraries, FluidSynth, ffmpeg, and the rest in order. You only handle what the AI cannot do for you, such as typing a password or clicking through an installer.

- A source-code product that ships development assets as-is. Not a finished GUI app. The code and documents include development history and validation notes. Documentation language: the entry points (CLAUDE.md, README, QUICKSTART) are in English. The reference material under docs/ is written in a mix of English and Japanese; Claude Code reads either and translates on demand, so the whole corpus is usable from an English session. Commercial use permitted; redistribution prohibited.

Frequently asked questions
Does Pro replace a DAW?
No. Pro helps you build and edit progressions and voicings, then export accompaniments and prompts. You can program drums on an eight-row grid, but detailed performance programming, mixing, and final production are done in Suno or a DAW.
I bought the main Studio on BOOTH or from a reseller. Can I get the $45 price?
Yes. If you have redeemed your code and added the purchase to your library, sign in to buy at the owner price. Otherwise, contact support with your receipt.
